 Why flooding causes destruction.

People usually think flooding isn't that serious. But flooding can kill anything in its way such as houses,  cars, schools, and most of all people. Did you know that a flash flood can go up 30 feet and a car can be taken away in just 2 feet of flood water.

A flood is an overflow of water. And most floods can take up to hours or even days to be formed. Climate change is increasing the risks of floods world wide.  And melting ice and other factors can cause rising sea levels. 

To survive a flood you need to go to high ground so the flood does not reach you . You also need to look after all living creatures such as your pets. Most Pets can't swim for long, dogs drown in only 10 minutes and cats can swim but sometimes they choose not to. 

Floods are caused by global warming or climate change. Climate change is caused by a lot of things like greenhouse gases and us humans.  The sea levels are rising and creating more floods.

Flooding is something very serious and it is damaging things people have made. Do you know that millions of people have died. A Lot of things have happened in this weather and it needs to stop.

April: OOF!

Charles:Why don't we go to the movies?

Lilly:We are in the middle of a crisis you know COVID 19.

Scene 3

Charles: I have an idea, let's go buy some tvs.

James: OMG! That is the most… Dumbest idea i've ever heard.

Lilly:Were in the middle of a crise here it's called COVID-19  unless you live under a rock you'll know about it

April and Charles go to the TV store.

Scene 4

At the Tv store.

April: Oh! It's closed wow!

Charles: Let's go through the chimney?

April:No there is no chimney you're not santa charles.

Charles: OH!

They go home

April: it was closed 

Charles: I was going to climb through the chimney

The Tv shuts down

Charles: Come on i was about to ask if we could watch peppa pig.

James:Are you serious, The power turned off.

Lilly: What are you guys looking at?

Charles: What is that?

April: Is that a ipad.

They all fight over the ipad.

The tv turns on again.

Lilly: I'm watching the amazing world of gumball.

Charles: No, I'm watching peppa pig.

James: What are you talking about? I'm watching the simpsons.

They all fight over the remote.

Scene 7

Until the Hospital people came around.

Lilly: Hello do you need something?

Bob:Hi there we are doing covid test please step out of the building.

They all step out

James: Is this going to take long?

Bob: No, just a swab.

They take their swab.

Lilly: Ew!

Bob: UM! Is there a Charles here?

Charles: Over here!

Bob: You have Covid 19 please step into the truck.

Charles steps into the truck.

James: Dont care.

April: Yeah! He was annoying any way.

Cormac: wanna be friends.

Cormac goes to school and leaves Brodie behind. Cormac comes back from school and has a whole lot of homework.

Cormac: Ahhhhhhhhh I have a lot of homework to do.

Brodie: I can to It.

Brodie finishes cormacs home work in seconds. Brodie hands it back to school the next day and gets A+. 

The next day Cormac goes to school with Brodie.

Johnson: hey nerd why did you get a+.

He pushes Cormac 

Brodie comes and scares Johnson away viciously.

Cormac: thanks little bud

Brodie: all good!

That night cormac and brodie were staying up all night playing Fortnight.

Scene 4.

Brodie: Is it my turn yet, I've been waiting here for hours.

Cormac:Not yet (As he was concentrating on the game)

Alarm rings 

Cormac:Turn that off.

Brodie turns alarm clock off

Capri:What are you doing cormac i only told you a hour not 10 hours.

Cormac: No! Please let me have another hour.

Capri:No! Get off now.

Cormac turns off the game and angrily stomps to his Room.

Capri:Brodie where are you boy!

Capri runs up to cormac's room worried.

Capri:Were is Brodie.

Cormac: What!

Cormac looks confused and runs down to the kitchen.

Cormac:He was here last night.

Cormac looks at the window the window was wide open.

After hours of looking for Brodie finally…

Cormac runs over to a old tree.

Cormac:What are you doing here.

Brodie: I needed some space.

Once upon a time there lived a little girl called Poppy she always dreamed to go to Paris.As the years past she turned 16 and was aloud to do whatever she wants.Through those years she saved a lot of money exactly $2,000 she had never spent any of that money only on a beautiful paris jewelry box.


On her 16th birthday she had planned to go to Paris but was too young so that night she had packed and was peppered so she escaped out the window.As she came to the airport it wasnt that big it was like a box with only one airplane “ Hello can i have one tiket to new york” she asked the man looked at her he got a piece of paper and stamped in hard.


After an hour of waiting she finally hered “PARIS!” she jumped up and ran to the plane she tried to find her seat but there were only 4 seats so she went anywhere.As the plane went off she closed her eyes...

WORLD WAR 1 AND 2

What is the difference between WW1 and WW2
World War 1 and 2 are very different. Imagine you being in the war with thousands upon thousands of men and rats. Imagine you leaving the war and that was the last time seeing your family, all those mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers.

The difference between WW1 and WW2 is that in WW1 there were trenches and machine guns and poisonous gases, while in WW2 there were more planes and tanks and ships.They say in WW1 motion guns were the best guns for war in WW2 the machine guns were weak and bombs were better.

WW1 was on the 28th of July 1914 till the 11 of November 1918.There was more than 70 million military including 60 million Europeans that is more than 130 million men fought in World War 1. WW2 was on 1 September 1939 – 2 September 1945. In WW2 59,000 nurses served the army and sixteen died. WW2 was fought over land and people, 85 million people died in WW2.

World War 1 was more on land on the other hand World War 2 war pretty much on ships and in the sky.  When WW1 started a Spanish flu had come out it was like COVID 19 but ended when the war was over. In World War 2 Hitler had long planned an invasion of Poland.


You should be lucky that we have men to go out there and fight for our country. All those men and women that gave up their lives for their own country.

Chapter 1

As i struggled to untie the rope i was slipping off the edge of the cliff.I tried to reach for the knife in my pocket “got it”i said it really loudly but they didn't hear me i cut the rope i looked down at the clift the water was splashing on the hard rocks beneath my feet, I walked backwards Then BANG! I hit something I was startled, I slowly turned around, I looked as if the rock had  hit my back.


As I climbed down the cliff I slipped my hand slipping. I struggled to get back up and I knew that they would kill me. I pushed myself up i keppet climbing down. I got to the cave where they left the boat. I hopped on the monitor so loud that they heard me. I started to push the button RAAAAAAA! The boat started to move, they tried to hit the boat and shot it with their guns until BANG! I got shot right in the arm...

The Antarctic The Antarctic is a massive place. It is about 4.5 million square miles you can get lost just like that. If you don't have the right equipment you can get hurt or even die. What is the Antarctic? The Antarctic is the coldest country on earth. It is -60 degrees that is very cold. The Antarctic is at the bottom of the earth. It is so cold because they don't get any sunlight for half the year and even when they do, it is still really cold. If you live in Antarctica you will need the right supplies (Something to sleep on, Something to eat and drink, And a lot of warmth) if you don't have the right supplies you could get hurt or die. You need to be careful in the Antarctic, there are a lot of things you need to come up against once. One thing you need to be careful about is the weather. You can have mountains of snow coming down right at you or a huge piece of ice falling and you could die from anything in the Antarctic. I hope you now know that there are a lot of challenges you come up against. That is why you need to be careful. The Antarctic is a beautiful place with ice and snow but you still need to watch out. Ingredients

1 cup of plain flour.
1 teaspoon of baking powder.
¼ of a teaspoon of salt.
6 white chocolate chips per pikelet.
1 egg
¼ of a cup of sugar.
¾ of a cup of milk
6 chocolate chips per pikelet.
Method
Sift dry ingredients into a bowl.
In another bowl beat egg and milk together mix into dry ingredients.

Get a frying pan and turn the element into low heat. Put a little butter add mixer and chocolate chips a cook for two to three minutes.

This water park is 9 hours and 30 min drive from Ahipara. This water park is in Hastings and it is closed caused by COVID 19.
Directions 
You go through the mangamukas and then go Through the town kawakawa. After you will find yourself in Whangarei. Continue on state highway 1. 

In Auckland you can stay the night in one of the hotels or go for a feed in one of the malls.

After another 4 hours, you will be in hamilton. After another 3 hours, you will be in hastings.

“The crocodile kids”

The famous children of the crocodile hunter Steve Irwin have disappeared without a trace. 

Bindi and Robert were last seen in a  river boat heading out to a remote swamp in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia they left at 11am in the morning.

There was no sign of the boat or their bodies. There were also two other passengers on board an 18 year old girl and a 12 year old boy, only one body was found.

Chandler Powell had rung the authorities at 12pm in the night 12 hours after the disappearance and realising that they were not home. After they rang the authorities were rung, Chandler Powell rang Terri Irwin their mother.

The sun is shining on my face as I jump into the warm water, the sand between your toes sticking to your wet scuffs.

Leaves falling from each tree as I walk past the mist in the air, wishing it was spring.

My taste buds are alive with the sugary goodness of our home baking, But I could inhale a Mcdonald's bacon & egg Mcmuffin right now.

It looks like quiet roads, shut shops and no one is about.

It sounds like the news coming on telling us about COVID 19.

It feels lonely not seeing anyone.
